About Us

Pawshé began because nothing on the shelf fit our dogs properly — too tight at the chest, too long in the back, and usually in a fabric we would not want against our own skin.

So we learned to draft. Everything now starts the same way: a paper pattern, a muslin toile, then two dogs standing very still for about forty seconds at a time. Our fit models are a golden retriever and a maltipoo — one smooth-chested and deep-ribbed, the other mostly coat. Fitting both means the chart holds for almost everything in between.

The Founders

Pawshé founder with the family dog

Pawshé is run by two siblings who never planned on starting a clothing line. It started as a favour — sewing a coat that actually fit the family dog — and turned into a small workshop, a growing size chart, and a shared obsession with getting the fit right. One of us handles pattern-making and production; the other handles the parts that involve talking to people. The dog remains the most opinionated member of the team.

Our Vision

We want Pawshé to be the label people reach for when they actually care what their dog is wearing — not just that it fits, but what it's made of, who made it, and how long it will hold up on a daily walk. That means staying small enough to keep testing every piece by hand, choosing natural fabrics over synthetic shortcuts, and growing slowly instead of chasing every trend.

Why Choose Pawshé

  • Fit-tested on real dogs — every pattern is tried on our own dogs before it goes into production.
  • Fabrics you'd wear yourself — linen, cotton, corduroy, velvet corduroy and soft knits, chosen for comfort on a dog's skin and coat.
  • Made in small batches — cut and sewn in runs of thirty or fewer by a two-tailor workshop, so each piece gets proper attention.
  • Easy sizing — a clear size guide for every style, and a one-time size exchange within 7 days if the fit isn't right.
  • Made to be mixed and matched — swap embroidered patches on your bandana and clip pendants on and off your necklace whenever you like.
